I felt like a switch in my body flipped from on to off. Sex now felt hard, painful and something I forced myself to do. Long gone the days of hot sex on the bathroom floor or after an erotic massage. I couldn’t understand how I went from ravenously wanting my fiancé to being completely physically disinterested in my husband.
It would take me years to unpack how trauma and shame directly impacted my sex drive. I didn’t have a clue that sex drive is even a thing until I started attending these crazy Pure Romance parties. From there I started my own business and became more and more fascinated by the nuances of sex drive, particularly in women.
Libido is easy to over-complicate, don’t you think? A quick Google search will give you endless results on how to “fix” your “broken” libido. Now let me be very clear: YOU ARE NOT BROKEN. Don’t let anyone tell you otherwise.

Sex drive operates differently for all the unique individuals in the world. Some people have a generally low appetite for sex and some are ravenous 24/7 it seems.
Sex drive is a people issue, one that humans struggled with since Adam and Eve felt shame in the Garden of Eden.
